"Are you really religious?"

-----(think fast, think fast) "what makes you ask that?"

"I heard that Texas is a really religious state."

-----"It is apart of the Bible belt."

"Hannah, you dodged that question really well."

-----(smile and nod)



Intro to day one on the job. People ask the darnest things. No matter if I had said yes or no, I could have negatively impacted this professional relationship. Instead, I chose to the prescribed social work thing and avoid answering personal questions. Sometimes I hate this, but either way, my definition of "religious" was not the ladies' connotation of "religious." It was not the time nor place to go into details either.

Other than that, I received a file full of cases today. Here's to diving in head first.....
